- I think meditation is generally poorly applied, if correctly applied the results would be larger
- The claim that counting (x) number of breaths leads to anything is a gross oversimplification that has been widely accepted
- Even in zen types of meditation it is always more involved
- Different meditation types have different benefits so you should try out several extensively and diligently keep a meditation log
- One way in which my mind has changed is I think you should probably do a traditional type of meditation daily for 20 minutes to improve basic brain function (memory, cognitive bandwidth, attention span)
- Once you've built a foundation in your meditation log you can start appropriately applying types on a day-to-day basis after considering your needs for a given day
